Diabetes is a common health problem associated with PCOS symptoms. Hirsutism is the least of a diabetics concerns. They have to worry about weight issues and their sugar intake for the rest of their lives.

Fortunately, the FDA approved a new drug that could not only treat type 2 diabetes but maybe curb the symptoms of PCOS as well.

The new drug, Invokamet, is actually two other drugs, popular in treating diabetes and PCOS: metformin hydrochloride and canagliflozin. Metformin works by decreasing glucose in the liver and regulating the body’s response to insulin better. Canagliflozin works by regulating the loss of glucose in urine.

Invokamet acts as a sodium glucose inhibitor, which regulates sugar levels in the body. In studies on diabetic participants, it also showed to have a significant influence on weight loss as well. People who use Invokamet will be encouraged to continue to exercise and eat properly. It is not a wonder pill!

Since being approved and launched in the U.S., there have been over a million prescriptions written for Invokamet.
